It looks like everything Trane ever played has been transcribed. I think saxophones should be free for anyone that has made the commitment to play them. In thinking about the time Mr. White has spent in making the transcriptions, I think that probably anything he chooses to charge is OK.
AndyW , PM Is there not a difference between learning-to-play and being a obsessive, "completist" transcription collector?? Andrew is a genius. He is a world-class double reed player and electric bassist. He played bass with the 5th Dimension and Stevie Wonder.
He was the oboist with the National Ballet. He is a remarkable guy. He did the work, he gets the money. Figure the amount of education, training, skill and talent that he had to have to have just in order to do those trnscriptions. Then figure into that the hours spent actually doing them over years. Land of the 50 dollar jazz gig.

Gary My brother there is hope for you yet!!!! Print them with Lulu and sell them for bucks each. I have to thing he would make some major money that way. And he has benefited from making the transcriptions as he is a musical genius. So, he has all these solos that he spent his time and effort transcribing them.
If not. Simple consept guys. Complaining about the pricce for soemthing you could just do yourself, but yet, no one else on this planet has done to my knowledge is really pointless.
