Original electronic Scanned image These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable.

Jihad Hot Spots: 3072
As its name implies, this book brings the Classic BattleTech storyline up to JHS: is broken up into several sections. Aside from the fictional and non-fictional introductions, the book provides a summary of events complete with a timeline to help make sense of it , followed by four sections, each of which covers roughly six months of game time. At the end of each of these chronological chunks is "Chaos Rampant," a series of scenario "tracks" that allow players to play along with some of the events. At the end, another summary helps to bring the events together. The final section is the rules annex, which provides rules for creating the elite Word of Blake Manei Domini , as well as vehicles and OmniMechs they use.

Description[ edit ] Jihad Hot Spots: picks up where Dawn of the Jihad left off, updating the course of the Jihad through The book is again divided up by faction, but the greater division is in time, specifically one section for six months. In addition to information on the Inner Sphere and Clans , some information about the Periphery finally trickles out in the source book. Also of note is the continuation of the style of Dawn of the Jihad, including the journalistic treatment the events are given. Perhaps the most notable shift is the inclusion of scenario tracks at the end of each major section, rather than in one large annex at the end of the book. Instead, that space is reserved for other rules, including the use of nuclear weapons, which is in addition to the usual new units that accompany a source book. Confusion reigns, and each faction finds itself isolated amid its own turmoil.
